We would like to share an important update regarding shipments to the United States.
As of October 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has introduced stricter import procedures for international postal shipments. These changes include expanded electronic customs declaration requirements and additional duty-processing procedures for imported merchandise.
As a result, Japan Post and international postal services are adapting to these new requirements. The transition has created additional steps in the shipping and customs clearance process, which may lead to longer-than-usual transit times and delays for packages entering the United States.
What does this mean for your order?
β’ Longer delivery times: Packages may take longer than usual to pass through U.S. customs and reach their final destinations.
β’ Customs processing delays: Tracking updates may remain unchanged while a package is undergoing customs processing or waiting for further postal handling.
β’ Unpredictable delivery schedules: Even after a package leaves Japan, we cannot guarantee how long U.S. customs clearance or domestic delivery will take.
A few things we would like you to know:
β’ These delays are related to changes in U.S. import and postal procedures, not necessarily a problem with your individual order.
β’ Once your package has been dispatched, international transit, customs inspections and final delivery are handled by the postal services and relevant authorities.
β’ We will continue to monitor shipping developments and do our best to dispatch orders and provide tracking information as usual.
The new customs procedures are still being implemented, and U.S. authorities have acknowledged the operational challenges associated with this transition. Postal operators and logistics providers are continuing to adjust their systems and procedures to meet the new requirements.
We completely understand how exciting it is to receive your purchases, and we know waiting longer than expected can be frustrating. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding while these changes are being implemented.
Please allow additional time for U.S. deliveries before contacting us about delayed shipments.
A lack of tracking updates does not necessarily mean your package is lost or that something has gone wrong.
